Sale at Bergdorf’s 48x60

This is my take on New York shoppers on their way to the famed Bergdorf Goodman department store for a sale. Several elements in this piece make it remarkable, such as the tallest figure missing her facial features. Note this same figure is holding a Chanel bag. Perhaps she wants to be known for her status rather than her true self? Sale at Bergdorf’s features two grids, something I love to put in my work. One grid represents a street as they cross it just before entering the store. At least that’s how my mind sees it. Another grid is close by - can you find it? The colors are muted and soft and on the sophisticated side, which juxtaposes with the playfulness of the abstract figures. This is a lovely and fun statement piece of art!
